Taraji P. Henson opened the 2022 BET Awards Looking Fabolous And Ending It With A Powerful Message

 BHR HOLLYWOOD REPORTS.........   Sunday evening was lit in Atlanta for the 2022 BET AWARDS taking the stage with a powerful message.

  Taraji P. Henson “It’s about damn time we step into our power,” Henson said. “It’s about damn time we talk about the fact that guns have more rights than a woman. It’s a sad day in America.”

“A weapon that can take lives has more power than a woman who can give life if she chooses to,” Henson added.

Taraji P. Henson early on before the BET AWARDS said"I am honored to return as the host of the BET Awards and share the stage with so many powerful and prolific artists; you can even say it is the empire of Black Excellence," Henson said in a statement while referencing her former music drama series Empire.
