Smollett Team Up For "Infamous" Duet On Empire 

BHR Hollywood Reports.............On Wednesday night (Oct. 5), Mariah Carey made her much-anticipated appearance on ‘Empire,’ and performed her previously released duet “Infamous” with Jussie Smollett aka Jamal Lyon.

“I know it’s dangerous, but I believe / A greater love, there’ll never be,” sings Mariah over the Jermaine Dupri production, while Smollett delivers Auto-Tuned vocals.

Mariah played the role of mega-superstar Kitty, who mentors Jamal Lyon and helps him “overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough.”

 Because Mariah is never not Mariah, in the studio scene she wore a leotard and tights (y not?) while they sang an appropriately gossamer balled called “Infamous,”.

Jamal was supposedly zooted out of his mind on painkillers in this scene, which you can only really surmise because of the sweating, but then being around “Kitty” surely has somewhat of a pacifying effect on anyone.

 The slow groove and lollipop counter rhythms are soothing enough, too.
