Community By Taking 5,000 Families To An Amusement park

BHR Hollywood Reports.........On Tuesday, , LeBron James sponsored approximately 5,000 Akron-based school children and their families to attend Cedar Point Amusement Park for free.

The Cleveland Cavaliers power forward gifted the kids - who are a part James' Wheels for Education and the Akron I Promise Network - and their families with a fun-filled day of rides, and screams to match, as part of the LeBron James Family Foundation’s We Are Family Reunion and Wheels for Education.

According to reports this is the second year LeBron has taken a trip to Cedar Point.

They also report that this year's adventure "marks the beginning of a partnership between James and a new third-grade class to encourage the youngsters to work hard and stay in school."

Students who partake in the LeBron James Family Foundation’s We Are Family Reunion and Wheels for Education eventually "graduate to the Akron I Promise initiative."

Lebron And Students At Amusement Park 

A lot of accusations have been made regarding LeBron's emotional ties to his hometown of Akron and whether they are authentic.

If this action, or, his comments to ESPN's Brian Windhorst about the "Akron I Promise" program are any indication...

"I think it's probably one of the best things I've ever been a part of ... This is very special to me.

As a kid growing up in the inner city and as an African-American kid, you don't really think past high school because it's not possible or your family can't support you. For us to be able to do something like this ... it means so much.
