Placing A Lawsuit Against Her Own Son "Tim Norman" 

BHR Hollywood Reports.........Things are not so sweet between the cast members of Welcome to Sweetie Pie's.

Robbie Montgomery, the family matriarch and owner of the Sweetie Pie's restaurants featured on the OWN reality show, has filed a lawsuit against her own son, Tim Norman, alleging trademark infringement over his use of the name at three of his restaurants in the St. Louis area and California.

The suit against James T. Norman was filed Tuesday in a Missouri federal court, according to Biz Journals. Documents claim Norman “had been misappropriating Plaintiff’s accounts and funds maintained in connection with his management of” Sweetie Pie’s.

That Norman “is identified as a member of Miss Robbie’s family on the Sweetie Pie’s show, along with his position on the show, further increases the potential of causing confusion in the marketplace,” the lawsuit says.

Sadly, this is the last thing this family needs following the tragic death of Montgomery's grandson Andre Montgomery, 21, after a fatal shooting this past March. Hopefully they'll be able to resolve it amongst themselves before things get ugly in court.

Montgomery is seeking an injunction that would prohibit Norman and two of his entities (Sweetie Pies Hollywood LLC and Sweetie Pies Kitchen LLC) from continuing to use Sweetie Pie’s trademarks. She is also seeking monetary damages and has asked that the infringing domain names be transferred to Sweetie Pie’s or canceled.

Sweetie Pie’s is at the center of the OWN reality series “Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s,” which wrapped its sixth season in January.
