BHR Hollywood Reports............Things are getting messy between Keshia Knight Pulliam and Ed Hartwell. The couple, who were married less than eight months ago and are expecting their first child, split up recently after the former NFL player filed for divorce, much to the surprise of Keshia.

“Early on in my marriage when I was faced with this, I was ready to leave,” the actress said of Hartwell’s alleged infidelity.

“It’s not OK. In the process, I found out I was pregnant. And I had to take another hard look and decide if I wanted to try to work through this and forgive him for the sake of the child. Like, I had divorce papers ready. I presented it to him. … Once I was pregnant, I did decide to give him that one last chance.”

A rep for Hartwell did not respond to requests for comment.

Ed Hartwell And Keisha Knight Pull

Earlier this week, Hartwell abruptly filed for divorce after nearly seven months of marriage. In a statement issued through his rep at the time, he said, “Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby.”

Keshia has three words for Ed and his request for a paternity test: bring it on. A source claims she's 100 percent confident that the baby is his because she's never cheated on him. And while she's aware they were having problems, she figured they'd work them out together like married couples do.

“I don’t know if it’s the hormones … no, it’s all of it, because it’s fresh,” Knight Pulliam told reports.  “And it’s hurtful. And I knew I couldn’t be silent, because this isn’t about money. This isn’t about fame. This isn’t about social media likes or follows. This is about my character — my integrity as a woman being attacked — and that’s not OK.”

The Cosby Show alum added that what added insult to injury was that “he had asked me to give him another chance, and I was willing to do that and forgive him, for our family.”
