BHR Hollywood Reports............An American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 50 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said.

This was an attack not just on America, but on gay people, who by degrees greater than most westerners, are denied their dignity in the places where global terror spawns.

Family Devastated About The News Of The Attacking 

The killer was quickly identified by authorities as Omar Mateen, a security guard and known ISIS sympathizer.

In the days ahead we will learn if he was a lone wolf or the spearhead of an attack coordinated in the fever swamps of the Middle East.

Whatever he is, the cost for creating mass carnage just went down to almost zero.

If a single gunman can do this, the terror mega-strike has become extraordinarily easy to launch and almost impossible to stop.

And if Orlando is a solo job, then ISIS has shown one person who knows what he is doing can assemble the arms and case potential targets without leaving a digital footprint – the traces that have foiled larger operations involving more people, more computers and more cellphones.

While the September 11 attacks in 2001 killed on a scale far greater than Orlando, they were enormously complicated.

Four strike teams that totaled 19 men came in through the visa system and were backed by many more al-Qaida planners in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and central Asia.

Mateen carried an assault rifle and a pistol into the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Sunday and started shooting, killing 50 people and wounding at least 53, police said.

After a standoff of about three hours, while people trapped inside the club desperately called and messaged friends and relatives, police crashed into the building with an armored vehicle and stun grenades and killed Mateen.
