BHR Hollywood Reports........Farrah Franklin has been arrested for public intoxication.

Police say Franklin smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Authorities say they discovered a green, leafy substance in Franklin's purse they believe to be marijuana.

It is unclear whether Franklin has an attorney to comment on the charges.

Franklin and Michelle Williams joined Destiny's Child to replace two original members in 2000. Franklin left the group months later and the remaining trio helped launch the solo careers of
Williams, Kelly Rowland and Beyonce.

She joined Destiny's Child in 1999 at the same time as Michelle Williams. The pair were replacing LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett.

Farrah left the band after just six months, leaving Beyonce, Michelle and Kelly Rowland as the three members of the group.

Beyonce told Reports at the time that they had decided to continue without her after she missed important promotional events.

'We have to say that Farrah was not kicked out of Destiny’s Child,' she said. 'She actually did not show up for three major promotional events, one of which was MTV All Access. She walked out on [that], and the KUBE Summer Jam was another one in Seattle.'

'We also had a five-day promotional tour in Australia, which was our first visit there and very important, and she didn’t come. So we all agreed that Farrah and Destiny’s Child should part ways, and we wish her the best in the future.'

Beyonce added: 'But it wasn’t a management decision, it was a group decision. We all feel that no personal problems that can be resolved are worth disappointing your fans.'

Farrah embarked on a solo career after leaving the band, and most recently released the EP single Magic & Make Up in September.
