Ohio-Based Gospel Trio Half Mile Home Releases New Album, ‘Don’t Judge Me’ |
As the second single from their fourth album, Don’t Judge Me, “Thinking of Me” is a heart-warming song that delivers Holy Power in triplicate through the anointed lead and harmony voices of Terence “Buttons” Burton, Darryl “Deaken” Brownlee and Todd Burton.

The song opens intimately with piano accompaniment, then blossoms into celestial glory with production elements of synthesizers and rhythm. “Thinking of Me” is the highly-anticipated follow-up to Half Mile Home’s “More Than Enuff,” the first single from Don’t Judge Me, which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard Gospel Singles chart.
“In writing this song, I couldn't help but think about what Jesus was thinking when the people said ‘He wasn’t the Messiah,’ and decided to crucify him,” says Terence “Buttons” Burton, co-writer and vocalist of Half Mile Home.
“So tears roll down my face because I know while they were beating Him, Jesus was thinking of me. When they pierced Him in his side—He was thinking of me—He didn't have to do it. He could have called ten thousand angels to set him free, but to save our souls and gain eternal life, He was still thinking of me. So one would ask is Jesus still thinking of us?
Yes, all the time. He loves us so that Jesus was thinking of us when He die. With all the craziness in the world today God still has us on His mind. So the song that God gave us ‘Thinking of Me’ reminds us that through all the stuff you’re going through you’re never alone. God is right there in the midst of your storm.
Always thinking about you.”
