Comedian Marlon Wayans Will Be Starring
In New Sitcom Coming To NBC 

BHR Hollywood Reports........NBC has handed out two more comedy series orders to shows from its own studio: the multi-camera family sitcom Marlon, starring Marlon Wayans, and the Tracy Wigfield single-camera project — now called Great News — that is executive produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.

The mother-daughter workplace comedy is toplined by Briga Heelan and Andrea Martin. Marlon and Great News join recently picked up single-camera series Powerless and Trial & Error, both from Warner Bros. TV.

Marlon, is loosely inspired by the life of Marlon Wayans (In Living Color, Scary Movie), is a family that centers on a loving, but immature father who tries to co-parent his two children with his very-together ex-wife.

 Misguided fatherly advice, Dad's larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet stardom complicate matters.

The cast includes Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle.

In Great News, which features 30 Rock alum Fey, Robert Carlock, David Minder and Tracey Wigfield as executive producers, rising news producer Katie (Briga Heelan) must deal with her overbearing mother (Martin), who arrives at an intern at the radio station where she works.

The cast also features Adam Campbell, Kimrie Lewis-Davis, John Michael Higgins and Saturday Night Live alum Horatio Sanz.
