At Watkins Elementary School, 5th-graders were preparing a salad with kale from their garden on school grounds when Mrs. Obama popped in last week.
"I want the world to see all the great things you're doing and how you're learning so much about good eating from your garden and your school," she told them.

A new Instagram account for the White House Kitchen Garden was also launched on Thursday.
So far it mostly features photos snapped at the other plots of land the first lady has visited, along with captions that share more details about those gardens.
The caption for the above photo of the garden at Burroughs explains that the school has “10 raised beds for vegetable gardening, two in-ground beds for herbs and pollinator habitat, as well as a newly planted fruit orchard.”
As Obama tells the excited kids in the video, “I want the world to see all the great things you’re doing and how you’re learning so much about good eating from your garden and your school.”
