BHR Hollywood Reports...........Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” continues its streak as a protest anthem. This happened once again on Friday (Mar. 11), when a Donald Trump rally in Chicago was postponed due to safety concerns after his supporters and protesters showed up on the University of Illinois campus.

Last month, David Byrne wrote an essay examining the rise of Donald Trump. Since he began his presidential bid, Adele, R.E.M., and Neil Young have asked Trump to stop using their music for his events.

Thousands of people were outside of the UIC Pavilion as this took place, according to the
Chicago Tribune. It was reportedly the largest organized protest that Trump’s campaign has faced.

Violence also erupted at the rally. Five arrests were made, two officers and two civilians were injured.

Last July, Lamar’s “Alright” also inspired Black Lives Matter supporters, who chanted the lyrics while protesting a 14-year-old’s arrest.
