Mos Def has Been Kicked Out Of  South Africa 

BHR Hollywood Reports.........Mos Def was arrested at Cape Town International Airport for trying to exit South Africa on an illegal “World Passport” document.

The Department of Home Affairs said the 42-year-old produced what he called a "world passport".
It said the singer had overstayed his tourist visa, obtained in 2013.

“Mr Smith came into SA with a legitimate US passport but since overstayed his visitors permit,” tweeted Tshwete. “Mr Smith was departing SA using a ‘World Passport’, SA does not recognise a ‘World Passport.'”

Born Dante Smith in New York, Mr Bey is now banned from South Africa for five years, but has been allowed to appeal.

had overstayed and were sojourning in the country illegally," a statement by the Department of Home Affairs said.

As well as being nominated for six Grammy Awards, he has appeared in a number of films, including The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Be Kind Rewind and The Italian Job.

Per the court order, the Brooklyn-bred MC is banned from South 

Africa for five years, but may appeal to officials for leniency. He has lived in Cape Town since May 2013.
