Filmmaker "Tyler Perry" Teams Up With Fox To Host Live Religious Musical

Will Fans Enjoy Musical?

Passion2 The project is based on a format originally created in the Netherlands by Eye2Eye Media’s Jacco Doornbos.

 The Dutch version of The Passion (see photos, video) has been produced annually since 2011 and has aired for the last five consecutive years, commanding a 46% market share in 2015.
The order comes a little more than a month before Fox's first live musical event: Grease Live, which is set to premiere Jan. 31.

The decision to double down on live musical events comes in the wake of NBC's recent success with The Wiz Live!

which grabbed a 3.4 rating with adults 18-49 and earned praise from critics and viewers for its star-studded and diverse cast.
