Singer Beyonce Is Planning On Suing Her Father For The Rights Of Destiny's Child

BHR Hollywood Reports.............. Days before the Christmas holidays, Beyoncé is apparently planning to take her father, Mathew Knowles, to court over ownership of the Destiny's Child brand, reports In Touch magazine.

Despite firing her father as her manager over four years ago, the 34-year-old superstar's dad still owns the rights to the Destiny's Child name and music — and now Bey wants them back.


“Mathew wants a Destiny’s Child reunion so he can see another payday,” says the source. “Up until this point, they have let him get away with it, but they want to perform Destiny’s Child music and make their fans happy — without Mathew making a profit.

The source added, “Beyoncé never wanted to sue him, but he’s given her no choice. He won’t allow them to use their own name — unless he gets paid

Beyonce 

The group was originally called Girl’s Tyme until Matthew took over as manager and rebranded and renamed them.

However Queen B is not happy about any of it. The source says, “She feels he basically stole the group and the [trademark] on Destiny’s Child."

The source added, “Beyoncé never wanted to sue him, but he’s given her no choice. He won’t allow them to use their own name — unless he gets paid.”
