Actor "Will Smith" Claims He Might Enter The Political Arena

BHR Hollywood Reports......... Will Smith appears to have done everything he's wanted from acting to rapping, but according to him, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

While promoting his recent film Concussion, Will spoke openly about a possible bid in the political arena.

In his first podcast interview ever, Will talked to 'Chatter' about his role as Dr.Omalu, the doctor first credited with linking chronic head trauma with American football players.

Over the course of 45 minutes, which you can listen to or read excerpts of below, the 47-year-old speaks candidly about, among other things, what drove him to shift his focus from rapping to acting;

 the strategy he set at the outset of his career that has guided it ever since; why he's willing to risk offending some members of his loyal fan-base by making a film critical of the NFL;
what his aims are for the years ahead — among them, it turns out, is entering the political arena "at some point in the near future" in order to try to change a socio-political climate that has left him "incensed to a level that I can’t sleep."
Smith noted that Omalu has a great reverence for the “American dream”, a love Smith also feels, despite his dissatisfaction with the current political climate.

“America’s the only place on earth that I could exist. No other country on earth produces Will Smiths, you know?” he said.

Smith added: “If you look back historically, of how black people have had it on the planet, America is elevating quite well, based on the history of our people.”
