BHR Hollywood Reports........Word on the street is Tamar Braxton and her famous sisters are in the middle of a feud that could be ripping the family apart.apparently, Tamar's sister Towanda has been trying to get on the show for quite some time but was never able to.

Meanwhile, Tamar's attempts to join the cast were kept secret, probably because she didn't want to upset anyone.

Unfortunately for the singer, the
plan didn't work, because her family first learned she was going to be on the show after it was announced on "Good Morning America," and it angered them even more.

Reportedly, Towanda and the rest of the family felt "The Real" host should have been open and
honest with them about her pursuits.

"There has been serious family tension among the sisters for some time. While it has been chronicled on their reality show - it is even worse in real life," an alleged source told the outlet.

"It is pretty much all of the sisters versus Tamar at this point and her signing up to do ["Dancing With The Stars"] made their relationship worse."

The source claims Towanda had been wanting to participate in the dance competition for two years and the sisters allegedly believe it was disrespectful for Tamar to take the opportunity.

And, apparently, Tamar's announcement to join the show was kept under wraps until the last minute.

"When they announced on Good Morning America that she was a surprise addition to the cast lineup this season, it was the first her sisters had heard of it," the insider continued.

 "None of them reached out to congratulate her because they were all appalled she would betray Towanda in this way."

 

Tamar Braxton On Dancing With The Stars 

Tamar even admitted on a Sept. 2 airing of "GMA" that her sisters were unaware that she joined "DWTS," stating: "This is the reveal, I haven't told them yet. I didn't tell them but I guess they know now."

On the music side of things, the alleged feud has caused a huge strain on Tamar's relationship with Toni.

The source claims Tamar constantly boasted about her 2013 album Love and War at a time when Toni was frustrated with the music business and considering retirement.

"Toni felt that Tamar lacked grace and success was making her a monster. It was a bad time for both of them personally," the source explained.

Rumors of the feud come at a time when Tamar needs her family the most. Last week, the 38-year-old star announced she was exiting "DWTS" and canceling her remaining tour dates with singer Kem due to a pulmonary embolism.
