Three and a half days of testimony concluded Friday, and lawyers for both sides made closing arguments.

Totenberg said she needed the weekend to think about the case and would sentence Brooks on Monday.

Brooks has been sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison.

The longtime state lawmaker resigned his seat earlier this year after pleading guilty to a count of filing a false tax document and no contest to five counts of mail and wire fraud.
