But last week, Pitch Perfect franchise star Rebel Wilson made a ripple in this decade-old discussion by publicly revealing that she had taken a stand against the E!

 clan—by refusing to present at the MTV V.M.A. Awards with Kardashian siblings Kylie and Kendall Jenner because they are “famous for no talent“ and “seem a bit superficial.” On Monday, though, Oprah Winfrey came to the defense of the family, revealing that she is unabashedly Team Kardashian.

“I went to film them as a family and I couldn’t believe how hard they worked,” Winfrey said, referencing her Next Chapter special on the family for her network OWN. “We were there for seven hours and they were gonna tape another seven hours after I left. No matter who you are, that is work.”

Winfrey's comments were in response to a remark Rebel Wilson made earlier this month. As previously reported, the Pitch Perfect actress refused to present with Kendall and Kylie Jenner at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

"They’re famous for no talent. I said I’d do it myself. What they stand for is totally against what I stand for," Wilson, 35, told Kyle and Jackie O on Nov. 4.

“They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren’t really based on talent. I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am.
