Comedian Tracy Morgan Is Making His First TV Appearance Since
 His Tragic Car Accident

BHR Hollywood Reports.......Not only will this mark Morgan's second time hosting SNL, but it also will serve as the 30 Rock actor's first TV performance since a tragic car accident last year.

Morgan was critically injured — and his friend, James "Jimmy Mack" McNair was killed — when the limo they were riding in on the New Jersey Turnpike was struck by a Walmart truck in June 2014.

The National Transportation Safety Board recently ruled the truck driver was speeding and fatigued when the crash occurred.

Reports said that the new season of “Saturday Night Live,” its 41st, will begin on Oct. 3 with an episode hosted by the pop musician Miley Cyrus, followed by an episode on Oct. 10 hosted by the comedian Amy Schumer.

Additional musical guests for these episodes will be announced later.
