Actress Uzo Aduba And Amber Riley Will Be Joining NBC's "The Wiz Live"

BHR Hollywood Reports.......The casting process for NBC’s The Wiz Live! continues to stay on the positive side of credible.

With news coming today that Orange Is The New Black breakout star Uzo Aduba and Glee’s Amber Riley have both joined the live-broadcast musical, which is set to air on December 3.

Aduba -- best known for her Emmy-winning role of "Crazy Eyes" on the Netflix dramedy, will portray Glinda, the Good Witch of the South who finally reveals the secret of the silver slippers to Dorothy and points her way home.

 The casting brings the actress back to her Broadway roots after she made her debut in Coram Boy in 2007 and followed that up in 2011 with God spell.

 The casting news follows behind the announcement of newcomer Shanice Williams being chosen as Dorothy.

Queen Latifah (as the Wiz), Mary J. Blige (as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West).

Stephanie Mills (as Aunt Em) and David Alan Grier (as the Cowardly Lion) have also joined the live musical production.

 "The Wiz Live!" is set to air Dec. 3 on NBC.

 The show will later head to Broadway during the 2016-17 season.
