Tamar Braxton Releases New Music Video "If I Don't Have You" Featuring Madam Nene Leaks |
The ladies work at a brothel and are used to a revolving door of men, but this time around, one man in particular has captured Tamar’s heart. But there’s one problem: He’s not in love with her.
“It’s not a love song. And it’s not about Vince,” said Tamar of her husband, Vincent Herbert. “It’s about an ex that I loved that wasn’t in love with me and I’m in a relationship by myself.”
NeNe also turns in a winning performance as the boisterous Madam NeNe (“She think she cute,” says Tamar), Tamar’s mother Evelyn makes a cameo, and there are plenty of diva-worthy wardrobe changes.
“I thought about it and I was like, ‘You know, it would be really cool if I had my real girlfriends in a bit of a brothel.
But you know it could be in the 1930s, it could be—2015!” Tamar told Reports.
“And it doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re selling ourselves. It just means we’re all looking for something, and you don’t really know what each individual is looking for ’til you see the video.”
The song will appear on Tamar’s upcoming album Calling All Lovers, due July 31.
