R&B Singer Mariah Carey Will Soon Be Honored With A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame 

BHR Hollywood reports..............Mariah Carey is finally going to receive an honor that’s been a long time coming.

Mriah Carey is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The pop diva will receive the 2,556th star in a ceremony Aug. 5.

 A handful of Carey’s close friends will speak at the ceremony, including L.A. Reid, Lee Daniels,and Brett Ratner.

 As it turns out, Carey was supposed to receive the star back in 2007, but she wasn’t available.

Now, finally, she’ll get the honor that she richly deserves.

The singer has also reunited with Antonio "L.A." Reid, who oversaw her blockbuster 2005 comeback, “The Emancipation of Mimi.”

Her first issue on her new home, Epic Records, was a hits compilation named after the Vegas show.

“This is just the beginning,” she told The Times during an extensive interview following her Vegas debut.

Reid; Lee Daniels, who directed Carey in her breakout role in “Precious”; and longtime collaborator Brett Ratner will fete Carey during the ceremony.
