Cook posted a $500 bond after he turned himself in. Cook is accused of punching a 21-year-old woman on June 23. His court date is scheduled for July 30.

Cook was indefinitely suspended from the football team Friday afternoon after news broke that he was the subject of a battery investigation.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher issued a statement Friday afternoon and said the team didn't tolerate the behavior Cook was accused of.

The team dismissed freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson on Monday after he was charged with battery for a bar incident. Johnson was captured on surveillance video punching a female Florida State student.

Per court records obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat, the woman Cook is accused of punching refused to give her number to an unnamed Florida State football player.

The woman told Reports that when the argument became heated Cook punched her multiple times and the two FSU players told her they were football players and "could buy me in two years."

Florida state attorney Willie Meggs said he found the woman to be very credible after interviewing her.

Meggs is the same state prosecutor who didn't press sexual assault charges against Jameis Winston, citing a lack of evidence in the case. Meggs was critical of the way the Tallahassee Police Department handled the investigation into the accusations against Winston.

Cook had over 1,000 yards rushing and eight touchdowns in 2014. He was a five-star recruit in the class of 2014.
