BHR Hollywood Reports.........Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson, has been admitted to a hospital in Brazil after suffering a stroke while visiting the South American country.

In an emailed statement Monday, the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo.

 Jackson is in the intensive care unit after being taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

He is suffering from an irregular heartbeat, according to Reports.

Jackson has a history of diabetes and was in Brazil celebrating his 87th birthday.

He is currently undergoing tests to determine whether or not he should return to the United States for further treatment.
