Actor and Comedian Chris Rock Will Be Joining Season 2 Of Fox's Empire

BHR Hollywood Reports.........Empire, the most important show of our time, began shooting Monday, and it did so with another high-profile guest-star: Chris Rock.

 (Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz are also slated to make guest appearances.)

Showrunner Lee Daniels posted a video on Instagram with both Terrence Howard and Chris Rock outfitted in orange (Lucious is in prison, remember?)

 where Howard admits to "accidentally" punching Rock in the stomach.

In a sly retort, Rock replied, "He does have a reputation."

"Empire" co-creator Lee Daniels posted a few photos from the first day of filming the new season ... which we now know will feature Rock and Terrence Howard behind bars, playing chess.
Rock is the first of a parade of huge guest stars Daniels has lined up ...

Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz are also confirmed, but the big one -- Oprah Winfrey -- is still just rumored.
