The wealthy businessman has been pursuing the singer for several months and only recently got her alone on his yacht for an "extended vacation."

While it's only been a couple of days, insiders say Packer has already told Carey he wants to marry her.

The star is still legally married to estranged husband Nick Cannon, but she's said to be entertaining talks of marriage with Packer.

The pair have been sailing the Mediterranean with Carey's twins over the last few weeks, which could be a sign that the couple have already taken things to the next level.

They've been cruising from country to country since late last week, and James blared Mariah's music for everyone to hear, including all the people on vastly smaller boats.
