BHR Hollywood Reports......Documents filed in January in the Eastern District of Virginia show Douglas' mother.

 Natalie Hawkins, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which allows people to reorganize their finances and pay down debt over several years.

Douglas has been one of the most popular athletes at the Olympics in London, becoming the first African-American woman to win a gold medal in gymnastics.

 The 4-foot-11 16-year-old taken home two gold medals so far and has become an international superstar, winning over fans with her smile and the nickname "Flying Squirrel."

Gymnast Gabby Douglas has lived quite a comfortable life since winning gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, but it seems her mother hasn't enjoyed the same luxuries.

 Natalie Hawkins is once again behind on her mortgage payments and is facing foreclosure.

Hawkins initially filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2012 after experiencing some financial difficulties.

 She claimed $163,706.10 in assets, but noted approximately $79,754.14 in liabilities-- owing on a student loan, to the bank and on her Virginia Beach home.
