ABC Has Decided To Sign  Raven Symone As A Co-Host On The View

BHR Hollywood Reports......ABC is toying with the idea of signing the actress as co-host of the long-running daytime talk show.

The request is reportedly so urgent that execs are looking to close the deal before the network's upfront presentation on May 12 in New York City.

The reason? Sources say Raven's time as guest host in March was an absolute hit and execs want her back on a full-time basis.

"She was interesting and provocative. Raven would be great as a regular host," said an alleged ABC source.

 

The View

Raven ruffled a few feathers when she defended a Univision host who said first lady Michelle Obama looked like a cast member from Planet of the Apes.

 She said she believed the comment was not racist and added that "some people look like animals."

ABC chiefs are desperately trying to sign Raven-Symoné as a host of “The View” before their upfront presentation May 12 in New York.

 The former child star of “The Cosby Show,” Disney Channel actress and, more recently, “Empire” cast member was a hit when she guest-hosted the daytime show in March, alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez.
