the ladies of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”
We started this journey together NeNe is the last remaining original cast member of the show that began with Lisa, Sheree Whitfield, DeShawn Snow and Kim Zolciak.

Though she bumped heads with more than one of her season 1 cast mates, NeNe has commented on how she misses those ladies.

“The deal is, we started together, and it was a sort of like a journey that we had together, so I miss them in that way,” NeNe told “Good Morning America” last year.

“It’s bittersweet for me because I feel like all the new girls that come along, they always come for me.

They want to get me off my throne, but they’re not going to be able to do it,” NeNe said on “The Real” Wednesday.

Lisa, who is now starring in TV One’s “Hollywood Divas,” said “RHOA” has changed since she was a cast member.

“As the years go on, NeNe feels that a lot of people are probably putting on for the cameras. That’s probably what’s she’s talking about,” said Lisa who will always have a place in ‘Housewives’ history.

She still keeps in touch with NeNe, and is also in contact with Kandi Burruss, who joined “RHOA” after Lisa exited.

“It is entirely different than any other reality show that you’ve ever seen,” Lisa said about the new series. “Here you have these four actresses who have never opened up their lives to the masses.
Though she said she’d never do another reality show, Lisa figured “Divas” was a good fit for her because it features women who are in her same industry.

“Hollywood Divas” stars Lisa, Countess Vaughn, Paula Jai Parker, Golden Brooks and Elise Neal.
Lisa has moved on to a different reality TV franchise now, but she still tunes in to “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and she’s content being an observer of the show these days.

They’re playing characters. To have all four of them telling very personal issues, being forthcoming and genuine about their situations and their struggles in Hollywood, I think that’s very, very rare. They basically took away their little safety net. As an actor, it’s great to hide behind our character, but to let people in, that’s a vulnerable place for them,” said Lisa.
