Joan Rivers Dies At Age 81

BHR Hollywood Reports..... Comedian Joan Rivers died in a New York hospital Thursday afternoon, a week after suffering cardiac arrest during a medical procedure, her daughter said.

According to a statement released by her daughter, Melissa Rivers, Rivers died at 1:17 p.m. while surrounded by family and friends.

The funeral for Rivers will be at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan on Sunday, according to temple spokeswoman Elizabeth Fezrine. Details, including the time and if the public will be allowed to attend, are not yet known, she said.

Rivers stood out as comic with her offensive brand of comedy and willingness to joke about celebrity fashion.
