Drive-By Shooting ocurred while N.W.A was filming on set 

BHR HollyWood Reports...........The cast and crew of the upcoming N.W.A biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ were shaken up last week, when a drive-by shooting reportedly occurred near the set. Read below for all the details.

Things certainly took a turn for the worse on the set of the N.W.A flick, Straight Outta Compton. TMZ reported that shots were fired right near the set!

The gunfire took place right outside of the Compton Courthouse when some local guys who were reportedly not actors flashed gang signs at a passing car.

Shots were fired, and reportedly a civilian was even hit and survived the shooting. While the site reports that the gunmen were not aiming to hit the crew, the bullets were extremely close since they were setting up production right outside of the courthouse.

Reportedly, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating the shooting, and have not yet determined if it was gang related. A source told the site, that although the crew is quite understandably nervous, filming will continue this week.

While production may be underway, Ice Cube opened up about the difficult casting process. “This is our legacy, you can’t play with this, there’s no cutting corners,” Ice Cube recently told MTV News. “I’m fully engulfed in that movie, very anal about it. It gotta be right. I’m totally involved, I’m engulfed in it.”
