Since April (14), the former The View co-host had been locked in a legal tussle with her ex-husband Jeff Tarpley, who sought full custody of their son Jeffrey by claiming Shepherd was too busy to look after him properly.
On Monday, a judge at Los Angeles Superior Court ruled against Tarpley's request, adding that "there has not been a material change in circumstances," to warrant altering custody arrangements, according to documents obtained by People.com.

Shepherd celebrated on Twitter.com, writing, "God is good! Victory!!! The prayers of the righteous availeth (sic) much!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers! #tearfulmama (sic)."
However, her legal troubles are not over. Her battle with estranged husband Lamar Sally over their unborn baby, which is being carried by a surrogate, is still unresolved. Shepherd filed for divorce from Sally in May (14).
