According to TMZ, the 'Lollipop' rapper was unable to attend the court hearing after suffering a series of seizures last month.

Lavely & Singer, who represented the star, has asked for unspecified damages and an order prohibiting the producers from using his music as Wayne claims that he never gave permission for his music to be used in the documentary Tha Carter.

The rapper has said he didn't authorize any use of his music but appeared to co-operate with the filming, allowing cameras to follow him around.

Due to Wayne's absence, his lawyer was left to air his side to the jury, during which time he refused to answer questions and mocked the proceedings of the lawsuit, he also said the film was a "scandalous portrayal" of Lil Wayne's character.

This behavior did not impress the judge as he then said it was "unreasonable conduct in the deposition'' and ''irresponsible behavior.''

The movie includes 'Lollipop', 'Stuntin' Like My Daddy', 'Let the Beat Build' and 'La La', all of which are included in Lil Wayne's multi-platinum album Tha Carter III.

The seizures that stopped Lil Wayne attending court have had a huge affect, resulting in him being unable to fly for the foreseeable future.

It was reported by TMZ that the rapper must stay at home and rest, the website read: "The rapper's telling friends he feels the seizures were a result of working himself too hard after his jail stint - and has been calling the health scare a 'life-changing event' and an 'eye-opener."

It was confirmed that the rapper was suffering from migraines and dehydration and he is now with his mother at her home in Atlanta where nurses are keeping track of his health.
