Madonna Stalker Faces Up To A Year In Jail |
BHR HollyWood Reports A Madonna superfan has been convicted of resisting arrest outside her former New York City apartment and could spend up to a year in jail. He was arrested after painting love notes outside her home in 2010.
Retired firefighter Robert Linhart was taken into custody after scrawling lovesick messages to the singer on wooden planks ourside her house on September 21, 2010. Acts like this have led to accusations that Linhart is stalking the star.
America's New York Post newspaper reports that jurors determined he resisted arrest by flailing his arms while officers attempted to handcuff him, and now faces up to a year in jail.
Linhart was acquitted of a second charge of resisting arrest on September 18, 2010. His defence lawyer Lawrence LaBrew is putting together an appeal, claiming his client suffered a torn rotator cuff during the first arrest and could not move his arms to comply with officers' attempts to handcuff him during the second.

"Funny, I just heard Madonna say that she supports freedom of speach," he reportedly tweeted in August (sic). "I think that she should inform her security of her beliefs."

The Telegraph reported that Madonna testified during trial that she had nightmares about the homeless man from Oregon after seeing him near her home in 1995. The singer said her bodyguard told her Hoskins claimed she was supposed to be his wife, and "if he couldn't have me, he was going to slice my throat from ear to ear."
