Andre 3000 Dashes Fans' Outkast Reunion Hopes: 'My Career's Up In The Air'

BHR HollyWood Reports Rapper Andre 3000 says his career is "up in the air" and doesn't know whether he will release a solo album or another Outkast record.

The lyricist, who is currently filming Jimi Hendrix biopic 'All By My Side,' hasn't worked with his fellow Outkast member Big Boi since 2006's album Idlewild.
 
While fans have been calling for the pair to reunite for years, Andre says it may never happen, also casting doubt on plans to release another solo album.

He told Rolling Stone magazine: ''Things are kind of up in the air with me, and some days, I feel like yeah, I'll do it. Some days, I feel like, I don't."

''I don't know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don't."

''I record and I write ideas. I think I'll always do that, for some reason. But I don't know if it will go to another artist or will it be my stuff or will it go to some movie. I don't know. I just kind of keep creating and hopefully, it'll fall into a slot.''

Recently the rapper/producer/singer has played iconic guitarist Jimi Hendirx in the movie  'All is By My Side', and often appears as a guest on other people's records, which he admits puts a lot of pressure on him.

''It's such a sad thing because now, people judge everything that I do. Because I don't do it much, they analyse every word and before, you would've had a s***ty verse and people just forgot about it. It's different now," he explained.

''My whole motivation is, I don't want to mess these people's songs up, more than anything than let me do something great. I try to do great, but it's just a different mind frame now. I don't sit around and rap everyday. I don't.''

Whilst starring as Jimi Hendrix, Andre covered many legendary artists including The Beatles and Eric Clapton.

The film's producer Danny Bramson, a longtime music supervisor who won a Grammy for his work on the Almost Famous soundtrack, oversaw the recording of the music that will feature in the film.
