BHR HollyWood Reports Flavor Flav is set to plead not guilty following his arrest for assaulting his girlfriend and her son.

The former Public Enemy star is intending to not plead guilty and fight his charge for assault it was announced at a court hearing on Monday.

Last week the Flavor Of Love star was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend and her teenage son with a knife during a row over cheating.

Standing in for the rapper who didn't attend the hearing, Flavor Flav's lawyer made clear the rapper is planning to reconcile with his girlfriend Elizabeth Trujillo following the charge.

“ They've been together a long time, and they want to work this out,” Flavor Flav's lawyer Tony Abbatangelo told the Associated Press.

“We want what's best for the family,” he added.

The rapper who faces six years behind bars if convicted of the charge is due in court on November 20.
