Who was It!!! HMV Deny Any Involvement In 'Woman Beater' Stickers On Chris Brown Albums

BHR HollyWood Report
HMV have released a statement denying they had anything to do with the anti-domestic stunt urging customers to not buy Chris Brown's music over the weekend.

The bosses at the British entertainment chain have insisted that they had nothing to do with the stickers which warned buyers to not buy the ‘Turn Up The Music’ stars album because he beats women.

"It was very much an isolated incident and had nothing to do with HMV or represnting our views," said a spokesman for the music chain.

"It would appear a member of the public popped into one of our stores…and stickered a handful of CDs. These were spotted and quickly removed," added the HMV spokesman.

In a London branch of the store, stickers appeared on a number of the 'Yeah 3X' singers Fortune album with a message reading, "Warning. Do not buy this album! This man beats women."

The stunt was thought to be carried out by a group of anti-domestic abuse campaigners over the Fortune star's 2009 conviction for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.

HMV have assured that there are no more stickers in their stores and the problem will not happen again.
