Rihanna Showcases The Cover Art For New Single 'Diamonds'

BHR HollyWood Report Rihanna has unveiled the artwork for her forthcoming single 'Diamonds.'

In the black-and-white artwork, RiRi is seen rolling diamonds on a sheet of paper.

The track, to be the first single taken off her upcoming seventh album, was written and produced by Stargate, Benny Blanco, and Sia, and will make its radio debut at 8am EST on Wednesday.

Discussing her new material with Elvis Duran during her gig at iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the pop superstar revealed that 'Diamonds' would mark a change of direction for fans of the singer's previous releases.

''You're not sad or dancing. You’re happy and hippie. It’s laid-back, but it’s hopeful,'' said the 24-year-old artist.

''It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.''

The Bajan babe will launch her 'Diamonds World Tour' on March 8 in the States.
