Jennifer Hudson Ready To Play Aretha Franklin In Movie Role
BHR HollyWood Report Jennifer Hudson is said to be eager to play soul legend Aretha Franklin in a upcoming movie about her life.
According to The New York Post, the Grammy winner is so desperate to bag the part that she used a performance at the125th anniversary party for Hearst to convince everyone she is the perfect choice.

During the 'Smash' actress' set a source revealed that she also took a moment to inform the audience that "it was her dream to portray the diva some day, and then asked the crowd: is anyone listening? to impy she should be given the role."
Aretha Franklin has mentioned a list of supporting actors she would like to cast in the new movie, including Terrence Howard, Denzel Washington, Audra McDonald, Nia Long and Kerry Washington - but is yet to reveal who she would like to play herself.
