Gabby Douglas Joins Alicia Keys On Stage For Beautiful MTV VMAs Performance

BHR HollyWood Report Alicia Keys possibly had the best performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, joined on stage by Nicki Minaj and Olympic superstar Gabby Douglas.

The soul songstress took to the stage during the ceremony held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday evening, to perform her new single 'Girl On Fire.'  Always one to stir the emotions, Alicia began her set playing at her beloved piano before welcoming Young Money rapper Nick to the stage to perform her verse which features on the remix of the track.

However, the audience were really wowed when gymnast Gabby Douglas took to the stage to perform a brief sequence, flitting effortlessly across the stage.

During the recent London 2012 Games, Gabby became the first African-American gymnast to win gold in the history of the Olympics. Alicia did tease she had a surprise during her performance, and she certainly delivered.
