French Montana Defends Lil Wayne Over Not Liking New York

BHR HollyWood Report French Montana has defended his boy Lil Wayne on his comment made about not liking New York.

The 'Pop That'rapper came to the defence of the 'Mirror' hitmaker in an interview with MTV News, saying that he didn't mean it like that.

"I mean if I was to go to New Orleans and catch a gun charge, I think there might be a point in time when I get sick and tired, and be like 'Man I hate New Orleans," the rapper explained.

"It might not mean I hate the people, it's that what I hate," he added.

Last month, the Dedication 4 rapper came under fire from fans in New York after he told MTV in an interview that he "flat out [doesn't] like New York".

French Montana told MTV News that he totally understands where the Louisiana rapper was coming from considering his legal history and cancelling Nicki Minaj's appearance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam earlier this year.

He said,"Sometimes you might be like, 'I hate Jamaican food,' I'm not saying I hate Jamaicans."
"I think it go like that and I think that's why nobody really got him yet for saying that," added the Bronx-born rapper.
