An Emotional Release...DMX Breaks Down On Live TV Over Turbulent Relationship With Mother

BHR HollyWood Report Rapper DMX broke into tears yesterday over the relationship with his mother during filming for VH1 reality show, Couples Therapy.

The 41-year-old rapper got extremely emotional while talking to MTV Rapfix host Sway while filming the reality show.

He said, "I think when we did Couples Therapy. I hadn't spoken to my mother for eight or nine years, but I was stuck on – I was looking or expecting an apology for what you did or some type of confirmation or recognition…"

"She's alive and if she would’ve passed and not have me on good terms with her, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself," added the rapper in tears.

Agreeing to feature on the VH1 show with ex-wife Tashera Simmons in attempt to work on their relationship, the 'Party Up' rapper admitted to realising how important parent/children relationships are.

"Forget the apology of what I did wrong. As a grown man with children of my own, as a grown man, I just wanted to be able to say the word 'mommy'," he said.

"I just wanted to use that word genuinely. I just wanted to be able to say, 'Mommy, I love you,'"  added the father of ten.
