BHR HollyWood Reports Jordin Sparks says she steers clear of Hollywood parties because she doesn't want to "dabble" in the lifestyle that claimed her friend Whitney Houston.
The 22-year-old actress developed a close friendship with the legendary singer last year when they filmed their upcoming movie, Sparkle, which is set to premiere later this month. Whitney died in February after taking cocaine and accidentally drowning in a bath, something which was attributed to her years of substance abuse.
Jordin, who often portrays a good girl image, says she doesn't want to get involved in that lifestyle as she doesn't want to disappoint her family.
"Oh, I'm waaay too scared to dabble in anything like that. I like the way my heart beats, I like the way I think; I don't need or want anything to change that," Jordin told Redbook magazine.
"The first thing I think of is, 'What would my grandparents say?' My mom and dad would kick my butt." I'm Big Blac this is your BHR HollyWood Report
