Ne-Yo Snubs Martin Luther King Jr. Role Due To Weight Gain

BHR HollyWood Reports Ne-Yo has revealed he turned down an amazing opportunity to play Martin Luther King Jr. in a new movie as he didn't want to gain weight.
The 'Let Me Love You' singer has been making a big splash in the silver screen, starring in big box office movies, Red Tailsand Battle: Los Angeles. However, Ne-Yo reveals he did the unthinkable when he was offered the role of most black actors' dreams - to play civil rights leader King in a biopic.
"I definitely want to do more acting but it's got to make sense with the music. I recently had to turn down an amazing opportunity to be in a movie playing Martin Luther King," Ne-Yo told the Sunday Mirror.
"They wanted to start shooting at the time my album R.E.D. comes out and wanted me to gain 30 pounds, so I couldn't do it. I'm kicking myself but acting can't take the place of my music. Plus, I've been killing myself in the gym for months preparing for this album because I wanted a complete makeover."
Ne-Yo, whose forthcoming album R.E.D. drops in September, has certainly bulked up in recent months, but did he make the right decision choosing music over movies? I'm Big Blac this is your BHR HollyWood Report
