Good friend R&B singer/songwriter Monifah confirmed the sad news via Twitter on Tuesday that the former Boogie Down Productions rapper had died.
The rapper and ex-wife of Hip-hop icon Krs-One, Ms Melodie has passed away .
Good friend R&B singer/songwriter Monifah confirmed the sad news via Twitter on Tuesday that the former Boogie Down Productions rapper had died.
In a series of tweets yesterday, she wrote: "Rip Miss Melody. Please keep her children, family& loved ones in ur (sic) prayers. HipHopRoyalty…A friend of ours told me she went last nite (sic)."
Also paying tribute to the rapper, whose real name is Ramona Scott, was Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons tweeting: "Rip Ms Melodie. A dope MC."
No further details have been provided about Melodie’s passing and the causes.
