2012 MTV VMAs Nominations & Alicia Keys Announced As First Performer!




BHR HollyWood Reports The nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards have been announced along with who will be the first performer to grace the stage at the ceremony.
As expected, Rihanna leads the way with an incredible 10 nominations, including Video of the Year for 'We Found Love' and her collaboration with Drake, 'Take Care' and Best Choreography for 'Where Have You Been' which she will be competing with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown who has been nominated for his 'Turn Up The Music' visuals.
Drake follows closely with nominations in the Video of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video categories.
Also receiving nods are Frank Ocean, M.I.A.,Nicki Minaj and Kanye West. Beyonce will also be competing in the Best Female Video, Best Editing and Best Choreography categories.
Meanwhile, Alicia Keys has been announced as the first performer alongside pop boyband One Direction.
The ceremony will be taking place on September 6.
