Beyonce has given away subtle deets behind her four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy’s name.

Rumours have floated about for months now to why Bey and Jay chose the colour blue for their tots name.

Taking a break from her mummy and wifey duties, the singer took to her website to upload a sweet poem that breaks down the mystery behind the unique name.

"Water is colorless, shallow water appears to be the color of whatever lies underneath it"

"But deep water is full of this scatted light, the purer the water the deeper the blue," a snippet of the poem reads.
