Out On Hulk Hogan's Racist Rant
The pro-wrestling world laid the smackdown on Hulk Hogan, 61, after fans found out about his racist rant.
The WWE also gave him the big boot and it looked like Hulk had hit rock bottom.
At an press tour in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Johnson was touting his dramedy series Ballers, which was recently renewed for a second season.
A critic asked about Hogan, who was dumped by the WWE earlier this week after a recording surfaced of the wrestling legend using racist language.
“I’ve known [Hulk Hogan] for a lot of years. My dad helped train him in Florida in the ’70s when he was breaking into the business.
My uncles helped train him as well. So I’d not known him to be racist.”
Johnson then smiled. “It’s funny, it’s one of those things where—I’m not justifying what he said—but we’ve all talked trash. Especially in private.
He said what he said and now he’s paying the price.”
While Dwayne defended Hulk from being branded a racist, he didn’t excuse his tirade or the multiple use of the n-word.

“It’s funny. It’s one of those things where – and [I’m] not justifying what he said. [But] we’ve all
talked trash, especially in private,” said the Furious 7 star. “He said what he said and he’s paying the price.”
After the wrestling world turned on Hulk, he apologized for his racist remarks.
“Eight years ago, I used offensive language during a conversation,” Hulk said in a statement to People magazine. “It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language. There is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.” It seems like The Rock has accepted Hulk’s apology.
