As she prepares for her big comeback, the pop icon has teased a new song/interlude in a Twitter video.
Right after announcing the forthcoming release of her new LP Unbreakable and a supporting world tour, Janet Jackson, 49, has granted the Rhythm Nation’s wish by releasing new music as well.
On June 17, the superstar introduced a track to her 3.1 million Twitter followers called “Love” — and it’s everything.
Janet, who has a well-known penchant for song interludes, has proved that she’s still the same singer in her short and sweet 43-second masterpiece, “Love.” Judging from the lyrics in this clip, we can tell that Unbreakable will have a very personal vibe to it.

“I wanna tell you how important you are to me! Love J.,” tweeted Janet along with the reoccurring hashtag #ConversationsInACafe.In the 43-second clip, she thanks her fans for always remaining loyal. “I lived through my mistakes / It’s just a part of growing / And never for a single moment did I ever go without your love / You made me feel wanted / I wanna tell you how important you are to me,” she sings.
While it’s unclear if the song will appear on her forthcoming album, her longtime producer Jimmy Jam tweeted, “A bit of LOVE for the fans. Yes she’s listening…. Thank you.”
Earlier this week, Janet announced her “Unbreakable World Tour,” which kicks off its North American leg on Aug. 31 in Vancouver.

Her new single is rumored to be titled “No SL333P,” and is expected to drop in the coming weeks.Her first album in seven years is set for release this fall on Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.
