BHR HollyWood Reports P. Diddy - real name Sean Combs - is reportedly recovering well from the car collision that saw his black SUV get smashed up, but has acknowledged his fans, thanking them for their support.

A spokesperson for the hip-hop star issued a statement on Thursday to MTV News, confirming that he's receiving treatment following the accident, which read:

''Sean Combs sustained multiple injuries in yesterday's car accident including to his neck, ribs and collarbone.

He is currently receiving treatment for this injuries from his physicians and would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support that he has received since the accident.''

The car crash occurred on Wednesday October 25, outside the Beverly Hills hotel in California, after a vehicle attempted a left turn in front of Diddy's SUV, causing both cars to collide.

Police soon arrived to find both Combs, his driver and fellow passengers in the car, all complaining of pain after the accident. Diddy was later snapped lying slumped on the grass looking stunned following the incident.

Russell Simmons was one of the first to break the news of Diddy's accident after seeing a snap of his smashed up bonnet online, tweeting:

''Glad to hear my man Puff is ok…'' as well as Diddy himself taking to his Twitter page to write: ''Woah….that was a close one!''
